Medicare and most insurance companies cover the cost of treating painful varicose veins. Spider veins, if symptomatic, may also be covered; however, spider veins that are cosmetic in nature and are not covered. It is possible that spider veins are a symptom of a larger problem in which case insurance would pay for treatment of the underlying medical problem.

We file medical visits to our patients’ insurance companies and work with each one to maximize insurance reimbursement.
